My deck is 42 inches with the guard it is 50 inches. Mt gate is 47 inches, it is hard to lift the deflector and drive through the gate. Destroyed the old deflector. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the new deflector installed a screw eye in with a 6 inch gate hook. Drilled a hole in the top of the deck height bracket. Now I can raise the deflector drop the hook in the hole of the height bracket and drive through the gate. Just don't be stupid "SHUT OFF THE BLADE"
