A chainsaw sprocket guides the chain in a continuous motion along the bar. Sprockets can become worn, grooved, chipped, or damaged due to high stress, friction, and normal wear and tear. If your chainsaw sprocket is damaged or worn, the chainsaw chain may slip, derail from the sprocket causing the chain not to spin at all. A decrease in chainsaw performance could also mean a sprocket replacement is necessary. Spur Sprockets: Spur Sprockets have star-shaped teeth that guide the chain on the outside of the sprocket for smooth operation. Rim Sprockets: Rim Sprockets feature a rim that floats freely around the spline to guide the chain around the bar with internal teeth. Jack's carries chainsaw sprockets for some of the biggest manufacturers including Dolmar, Echo, Homelite, Husqvarna, Makita, Oregon, Poulan, Aftermarket-Stihl and much more.
