MTD 75306523 Short Block

The small block I bought was so much more convenient then just trying to replace the piston. The only downside was that the holes needed to be tapped out. I feel this is due to the block being able to fit multiple brands that have different types of threaded screws. Overall very happy with the product and weedwacker is back up and running

Exact replacement. Disassemble weed wacker and rebuild with short block. Comes with new spark plug and magneto. Turn key. Runs great. Cheapest way to extend 2 stroke weed wacker with attachment shaft. Couldn't find a replacement that used my accessories. Thanks Jack!

The "short block" is really a complete engine minus the off-side crank carrier bearing/crankcase cover assembly, but including the entire ignition apparatus. The installation is a DIY process for folks with slightly elevated skills and tools. The one complaint (therefore the 4 stars) is that all of the threaded bosses in the engine casting are poorly tapped...the screws are hard to start without cross-threading. After installation, the engine started and has run without problems.
