If you have a heavier brush cutter, this makes a big difference. We were (my wife and I) using the harness that comes with the husqy brush cutter which was OK, but did put strain on the lower back. My wife would use it occaionally but could only go an hour or two. I would go longer but would tire out after about 4 hours. This harness sits on the hips and is adjustable for women. I can't really say for sure how well it works because my wife has been doing all of the brush cutting since we got it and goes multiple hours - I haven't had a chance to use it!

It's a heavy harness, as harnesses go, but it does what it is supposed to do. The instructions, such as they are, leave a lot to be desired. The difference between fastening for a male vs fastening for a female user was not clear until after I had viewed several videos. I'm still trying to find the right adjustment for my use, which ranges from short grass to brush and thick weeds. Terrain is level ground to slopes almost too steep to walk on. Compared to my former harness it is much easier to adjust the trimmer height independently of the harness length. I.e. I can get the harness adjusted so that the hip belt is around my hips, and then adjust the clip to get the trimmer held at the proper height. Just as an aside, I was billed at the time the order was placed, but the item was back-ordered and didn't ship for several weeks. The harness arrived just a day or so before the credit card statement. Oh, that pouch. I'm not sure what it is to be used for, maybe an old flip phone
