How to replace the Briggs 491588S air filter on your walk behind lawn mower:

Ensure the mower is turned off, then disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental start up.
Remove / unclip the air filter cover from the side of the mower.
Remove the old air filter.
Wipe or brush away any debris that has collected in the air filter housing.
Install the new air filter.
Reattach the air filter cover.
