Remember to wear proper gloves and eye protection when working with or around blades!
- Step 1: Place the lanyard pin in the 4-1/2’’ position on the cutting height index to check the cutter deck height. Allow the deck to move to the 4-1/2’’ cutting position by releasing the deck from the transport position.
- Step 2: Measure from the floor to the tip of the cutter blade. If the measurement isn’t 4-1/2’’, use the deck height control rod to make an adjustment.
- Step 3: Undo the jam nuts on each side of the deck height control rod.
- Step 4: Keep turning the control rod and checking the measurement from the floor to the tip of the blade. Do this until the measurement is 4-1/2’’.
- Step 5: Tighten the jam nuts on the control rod once the measurement is accurate.
