Scag Cheetah: How to Adjust the Steering Levers
Comfort is one of the most important aspects of power equipment. Take the time to customize your equipment to suit you so that finishing the job is less stressful. In the case of the Scag Cheetah, the seat levers are adjustable to fit your ideal position. In 8 easy steps, this can be achieved!

- Step 1: Set the seat to the desired position.
- Step 2: Sit on the operator’s seat without the engine running. Move the steering levers forward and backward to determine your level of comfort and control.
- Step 3: On the lever assembly, loosen the tension knob to begin adjusting the levers.
- Step 4: Move the steering lever forward and backward to bring it to your ideal position. Tighten the tension knob once the lever is in place.
- Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the opposite lever.
- Step 6: Once both levers are adjusted, sit in the operator’s seat and bring both levers out of the neutral position. Make sure they operate evenly.
- Step 7: If you need to adjust the control handle, remove the two bolts holding the control handle to the control lever.
- Step 8: Place the control handle in the desired position and reattach the bolts.
