Replacing the Scraper Blade on an Ariens Two Stage Snow Blower

The scraper blade scrapes the surface of snow and ice underneath your snow blower, since the augers don’t come into contact with the ground. After constant use, the scraper blade can wear down.

Step 1:

Remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Loosen bolts and remove the belt cover

Step 3:

Disconnect the chute crank and deflector cable

Step 4:

Remove frame housing bolts

Step 5:

Remove belt finger

Step 6:

Remove auger belts from pulleys

Step 7:

Separate auger housing from frame

Step 8:

Remove auger belts

To Install New Belts:

Step 1:

Re-attach the housing to the pivot rod on the frame

Step 2:

Slide the belts over the pulleys

Step 3:

Re-install the frame housing bolt

Step 4:

Re-install the belt finger

Step 5:

Re-attach the belt cover

Step 6:

Re-install the chute crank

Step 7:

Re-connect the deflector cable
