Replacing the Drive Belt on an Ariens Path-Pro Snow Blower

Watch our video on how to replace the drive belt on an Ariens Path-Pro single stage snow blower.

The drive belt engages the auger paddles, allowing them to rapidly spin and throw snow out of the discharge chute.

If the belt begins to show signs of cracking, or it breaks while operating, replace it immediately. You don’t wont to get stuck in the next snow storm with a snowblower that won’t clear snow.

Step 1:

Disconnect the spark plug and remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Remove the belt cover

Step 3:

Loosen the belt guides

Step 4:

Remove the belt

Step 5:

Route the new belt around the auger, idler and engine pulley

Step 6:

Re-tighten belt guides
