Replacing the Drive Belt on a Toro Single Stage Snow Blower

The drive belt engages the auger paddles, allowing them to rapidly spin and throw snow out of the discharge chute. If the belt begins to show signs of cracking, or it breaks while operating, replace it immediately. You don’t wont to get stuck in the next snow storm with a snowblower that won’t clear snow.

Step 1:

Remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Remove the belt cover

Step 3:

Remove the auger pulley

Step 4:

Remove the drive belt

Step 5;

Install the new drive belt around the engine pulley & idler pulley

Step 6:

Replace the auger pulley and route the belt around it

Step 7:

Tighten the bolt of the auger pulley

Step 8:

Ensure the belt is secure around the pulleys

Step 9:

Reinstall the belt cover
