How to Replace the Transmission Poly-V Belt for a Snapper P2185020
The following instructions are for the Snapper 21″ Series 20 Steel Deck Walk Mower, which is for the model number P2185020. Before attempting to work on/with your equipment in any way, always refer to your owner’s manual for safety information.
- Remove the driven disc.
- Note the routing of the old belt around the three pulleys before removing it.
- Place the new Poly-V Belt over the end of the hex shaft and onto the drive pulley.
- Work the belt onto the top of the idler pulley.
- Twist the belt sideways and pull it upward between the differential bracket and driven pulley and then down into the pulley groove. Make sure the Poly-V Belt is above the belt guide.
