How to Change the Fuse in a Toro Lawn Mower

Sometimes you are going to need to change out the fuses in your lawn mower, fortunately, it is a very easy task.

Here's what to do!

Step 1:

  • Make sure engine is cool

Step 2:

  • Disconnect the spark plug wire

Step 3:

  • Lift rear shield and remove grass bag

Step 4:

  • Support the shield so that it remains open

Step 5:

  • Remove the screws that hold the battery and fuse housing

Step 6:

  • Peel off sealing tape

Step 7:

  • Slide the housing out of the mower to access the fuse box

Step 8:

  • Remove the old fuse with pliers and insert the new fuse

Step 9:

  • Replace the housing

Step 10:

  • Reinstall mounting screws

Step 11:

  • Re-apply sealing tape or use duct tape

Step 12:

  • Replace the mounting screws

Step 13:

  • Remove the support from the shield

Step 14:

  • Replace the grass bag

Step 15:

  • Reconnect spark plug wire
