Changing the Spark Plug on a Generac iX2000 Generator

Changing your spark plug will increase the efficiency and extend the life of your engine.
This video shows you how to easily replace your dirty spark plug with a new one.
Step 1:
Be sure the power switch is off and that all power cords are disconnected
Step 2:
Remove the spark plug maintenance cover and disconnect the spark plug boot
Step 3:
Use a socket wrench or spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug
Step 4:
Check the gauge of your new spark plug (see owner’s manual for information)
Step 5:
Thread the new plug into the housing and then using the wrench, finish tightening the spark plug, but do not over tighten
Step 6:
Reconnect the spark plug boot and maintenance cover
