Toro Snow Blower Oil Change

Before starting, refer to your owner’s manual for your snow blowers oil change schedule, the oil recommended for your snow blower, and any specific tools needed for your snow blower model.
Tools Needed:
*Before servicing your snow blower make sure the snow blower is turned off and remove the ignition key to reduce the risk of accidental start-up.
Changing the Oil
1) Warm the Engine
Start the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, allowing it to drain easier. Once oil is warmed, shut the engine off and allow it to cool before servicing your snow blower.
2) Remove Oil Dipstick
3) Locate Oil Drain Plug
4) Oil Drain Pan
Catch the oil as it drains by placing an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
5) Drain Oil
Drain the oil by loosening the drain plug with your socket wrench, making sure to catch it with the drain pan.
6) Reinstall Oil Drain Plug
7) Refill With New Oil
Place the funnel in the oil fill tube and fill with 5W-30 oil.
8) Check Oil Level
Check the oil level after refilling, as well as before and after every use. Check the oil level by looking at the oil dipstick.
9) Reinstall Oil Dipstick
Twist the oil dipstick back into the oil fill tube and clean up any excess oil.
10) Check for Leaks
Check for any oil leaks by starting the engine for a few minutes.
